Instructions:
Cut 1 piece of 40X51 threads (39X50 holes) according to the clown's head pattern, cut 1 piece of 79X39 threads (78X38 holes) according to the sign pattern, and cut 3 pieces of 27X33 threads (26X32 holes) for the balloons. Follow the patterns to stitch all the pieces. Stitch each balloon a different color (shown used: lavender, lilac and lemon), using Iridescent White for the middle sections. Don't forget to cross stitch the clown's eyes.
When completed Overcast all pieces in adjoining coloring. Overcast all balloons in Iridescent White. Tack clown & balloons to the sign in areas that you would like, using crafters glue or yarn. (In the finished picture you will notice that I have tacked the balloons together before tacking to the sign, just for a different effect) Thread a piece of Iridescent White (about 8 inches) through each balloon and tie in a knot so the thread stays in place and trim ends them so they are even, let each string hang down or tie the 3 of them together in the middle.
Tack 2 sawtooth hangers to the back of the sign, spread out about 6 1/2 inches apart from each other, to make the sign sturdier when hanging. Let the party begin.....
